About Kris Tyler

Kris and her husband live in Phoenix. She enthusiastically embraces watercolors' ability to be bold and vibrant. Kris loves the Arizona intensity of light and that its landscape colors are reminiscent of East Africa as she grew up in Tanzania, the daughter of missionaries. Kris has a BA in art and education from Pacific Lutheran University in Washington.

She also designs and helps build sets for Christian Youth Theater and Dream City Church. Kris taught Art at Archway North Phoenix a Great Hearts school. Her work is represented in private, corporate, and public collections in the UK, Australia, Kenya, Canada, and in the USA. While traveling worldwide Kris has wonderful opportunities to savor God's gifts to nature of vibrant colors, and sharing a care-filled moment as a visual experience keeps her forever learning
